TITLE: Set of 5 1948 Madame Alexander 14" Tall Little Women Dolls Jo Amy Meg Beth Marmie some with tags

DESCRIPTION: Doll collectors, this one is for you! No need to hunt down parts of this collection; it's all here for you! This is a lot of 5 tall Madame Alexander dolls dating to 1948, from the popular film "Little Women," originally a book series by Louisa May Alcott. 

This incredible set includes:

  • Jo, wearing a plaid taffeta dres with black trim, white petticoat and bloomers, black shoes with bows and a black hair net. She has reddish-blonde hair and green eyes. She has scuffing to her skin, including face, and her clothing has significant discoloration/fading. Joints appear good. She has a fabric Madame Alexander tag with her name on it. 14" in height.
  • Meg, wearing a pink dress with textured off-white pinafore apron, white petticoat and bloomers. She wears black shoes with bows. She has blonde hair and green eyes. Clothing has significant discoloration and her hair net is falling apart. She has scuffing to her skin, including face. Joints appear good. She has a fabric Madame Alexander tag with her name on it. 14" in height.
  • Amy, wearing red gingham cotton dress with white puffed sleeves and lace trim, white petticoat and bloomers, black leather shoes with black bows. She has blonde hair done in an elaborate looped curl style and bright green eyes. She has one black hair bow on one side (the other may be missing or may never have been included). Fabric has discoloration and fading. Skin has minor scuffing, including on face. Joints appear good. She has a fabric Madame Alexander tag with her name on it. 14" in height.
  • Beth, wearing a green floral print cotton dress with pink ric rac trim, lace details and pink buttons, white petticoat and bloomers (bloomers have pink satin ribbon trim), black leather shoes with dark bows, and a pink satin hair band. She has strawberry blonde hair and green eyes. Dress and bloomers have significant discoloration, skin has minor scuffs. Joints appear good. Has a fabric Madame Alexander tag with her name on it. 14" in height.
  • Marmie (presumed; this is the only doll without a name on its tag), wearing a golden yellow dress with black braid and bodice accent, white petticoat and bloomers, black patent shoes with velvet bows and a green lace shawl. She has auburn hair and green eyes. Part of her black hair net appears to be missing, and petticoats/bloomers have yellowing. Gown and trim have some fading. Has Madame Alexander cloth tag and store paper hang tag. Joints appear to be in good condition. 14" in height


CONDITION: Dolls are offered in as-found, good vintage/antique condition, with wear and patina commensurate with age and use. Some sleep eyes are a little stiff, wear and discoloration is present on some dresses. No major damage has been noted to the dolls themselves, but we did not undress them.
