APPLEWOOD FACSIMELE EDITIONS

These are APPLEWOOD editions of Nancy Drew books, printed in the 90's. The APPLEWOOD editions are facsimile editions of the first 21 original Grosset & Dunlap books first published in the 1930s. They are no longer in print. The APPLEWOOD editions are lovely reprints with beautiful thick dust jackets based on the original dust jackets' artwork, thick blue covers, sturdy white paper inside, glossy illustrations (except Volume 18, which is not printed on glossy paper), and 25 chapters. In a nutshell, they were designed to last. To insure there is no confusion with the older original printings, these books have the APPLEWOOD BOOKS logo on the spine of the book and the jacket, have a somewhat brighter blue matt cover format, and have blank endpapers. Each book also includes a Publisher's Note page that describes the APPLEWOOD series. You can tell what the print edition is by looking at the Trademark Page at the front of the book, where there is a countdown from 10 to potentially 1, with 1 being a First Printing.
