This tachometer cable plastic drive gear is a NOS (New Old Stock) genuine Yamaha part, it comes in the original Yamaha packaging. The white plastic drive gear transmits the drive from the engine to the tachometer driven gear & subsequently onto the tachometer cable. By nature, the plastic drive gear often wears out before the metal driven gear & is often the reason for an inoperative tacho cable.
