Original 1614 Hand-Colored Engraving Frontispiece
Professionally Mounted in Double-Sided Frame

This is a single sheet, approx. 9.5" x 15", which includes the hand-colored engraving (frontispiece) on one side and the British Empire chart on the other.
It is professionally mounted (apparently c.1950s) in this very nice solid wood frame with typical black lacquer and goldtone finish, with its mid-century cable hanger. The framing is double-sided, with glass on both sides for viewing.
This sheet itself is 17th-century laid paper, directly out of John Speed's 1614 edition of The Theatre of the Empire of Great Britain.

- Absolutely gorgeous, still with bright colors
- The frame has very minor chips at the corners, and the paper has a couple of very old edge repairs. Please look closely at the last 3 photos for details.
