Description: Presented is a beautiful glass wine serving stein made of hand-blown crystal glass with stone-cut decorations and silver or silveplate mounts.
The stein was made in around 1900 - 1910s and is designed in classical style with some touch of Art Nouveau.
The server is marked with a crown and the word "REX". The only silver/silverplate company I found with this name is a French company "Orfèvrerie (goldsmith) Rex" that was located at 14 rues Crespin, Paris, active c. 1900.
The glass and beautiful silver mounts create an astonishing ensemble. I don't know if the mounts are silverplated or solid silver. There is no wear whatsoever and the mark is not familiar.
The server is in excellent condition. It is large and impressive, standing 12.5" tall to the top of the thumblift, 1.5L capacity.
