We are offering yet another great Ghurka Marley Hodgson super bag.
Ghurka’s classic suitcase, with its extremely lightweight and excellent patina, makes traveling with this case a delight.
The saddle leather is cleated and stitched onto a semi-hard frame by Ghurka masters in such a meticulous manner that only a limited number of them were made each month!
And, today, no one is doing this!
This case features a Strong yet lightweight semi-hard frame, fully lined in Ghurka's signature khaki twill strong canvas. The British Tan belting leather features an organizational panel, double securing straps, rolled Belting Leather handles, and solid, shiny brass hardware; it was hand-made by US masters in Connecticut, the USA, in 1986.
This elegant luggage case has aged beautifully and is in excellent condition. The bag has amazing character & charisma not seen in any new bags! For sure this suitcase is better looking now than when it was new! We rated inside the case 9 and outside 8.5, and overall 8.8 out of perfect 10! The case was sold for $775 plus tax back in the 1980s!

Founded in Connecticut in 1975 by luxury belt and brace designer Marley Hodgson, Ghurka has served as a symbol of superior American leather craftsmanship for over thirty years.
The origins of the Ghurka brand can be traced back to a fortuitous discovery at a British auction house in the early 1970s. Hodgson inspired by his love of history and leather craft, bid on campaign travel gear and leather boots formerly owned by a British Ghurka officer stationed in India at the turn of the 20th century. He was so impressed by the quality of the nearly century-old leather – durable, yet supple in spite of its age – and by the intricate craftsmanship, that he was compelled to launch a line of comparable leather accessories. Hodgson tracked down the lost tanning formula for these boots, and for other accoutrement carried by the legendary Ghurka regiments, and applied the manufacturing process to his new collection “.
