  • Wild Bergamot is a native perennial wildflower and winner of the Herb Society of America's Notable Native Herb award in 2013.
  • A prolific bloomer whose minty scent attracts pollinators of all kinds, the stunning blossoms are also a favorite of home gardeners and herbalists who use it to make everything from herbal teas to potpourri to essential oils used for flavoring food and drink.
  • Direct sow in early spring by lightly pressing the seeds into the surface of the soil. Keep moist until germination, which should occur within 10 to 20 days if soil temperatures are between 60 to 70 degrees F.
  • Note that Wild Bergamot typically blooms during the second year after seed germination. Plant will reach its full size by the third year.
