For Reference, OEM sizes as supplied from Yamaha are; 
2008-2019 KTM 690 Duke / R OEM size is 520x118L X-ring chain, 16t Ft. Sprocket, 40t Rear Sprocket  
(Some customers have reported that the OEM chain length is closer to a 114L than the listed 118L length)


This kit is provided with all 520 size chain and sprocket components

For QUICK Acceleration 15/40t gear ratio (Quicker off the line, snappy roll on's, easier wheelies),
      Request a 15t (-1t) and a 40t (oem) rear sprocket during check out in the "Add Message" tab.  
      The -1t rear sprocket change is normal change, in the direction of quickness off the line.
(520x15/40t  Quick Acceleration Ratio is the Default gearing supplied)

For  FREEWAY GEARING 17/40t  FASTER TOP SPEED, and  LOWER HIGHWAY CRUISING RPM's,
        Request a 17t (+1t) front sprocket, and a 40t (oem) rear sprocket.
        The +1t rear sprocket is a normal change, that will give you noticeably lower top gear cruising rpm's and higher top speed, but may feel a little slower off the line.

Original Factory Supplied OEM 16/40t size sprockets are the calculated "Happy Medium" of off the line acceleration, roll on's, and  reasonable high speed engine rpm's with the least amount of compromise on either top end or low end acceleration
       If you are using your entire gear box ratio as it is from KTM, then OEM 16/40t sprocket sizes are best for you.

    Half the Power Loss (Compared with Normal O-Ring)  X-Ring construction reduces friction by twisting between the side plates instead of being squashed.

    Normal O-Rings and other makers’ modified O-Rings have squashed points that increase friction. The twisting action of the X-Ring disperses the pressure and minimizes power loss.
