Basset Limoges Austria Hand-Painted PEACOCK 17” Serving Platter: EUC

 

Offering a stunning early 20th Century hand-painted oval platter stamped Basset Limoges Austria, c. 1925. The heavy porcelain platter features a large-hand-painted peacock on a branch with trees and blue sky in the background on an embossed scalloped rim.  Back displays the Basset Limoges Austria stamp in circle used between 1890 and 1963 by George F. Bassett & Co., an importer. Back is also signed Jhf 2 25, possibly the decorator/artist

 

Measures 17” long x 11 ¾” wide x 2” high

 

In excellent condition free of chips, cracks, repairs or wear
