This BBC licensed replica - the MFX Sonic Screwdriver Prop Replica - was made in 2009.
It is a replica of the prop that was last seen in the 50th Anniversary story, “The Day of the Doctor”.
Limited to 500 pieces worldwide, this handmade aluminium, brass and acrylic prop replica was released by Millenium FX under license from BBC Worldwide.
It replicates BBC Prop Designer Nick Robatto's design for David Tennant's sonic screwdriver in terms of scale, materials and finishes.
It is made of metal with some plastic elements and is suprisingly heavy.
It has a screen-accurate LED light activated by the slider button.
It comes complete with a small acrylic stand and “Prop Replica” notice from the manufacturers.
