Quartz (Latin Quarz) is the name of a family of narrow-film (8-mm) amateur film cameras (cameras), produced in the 1960s - 1980s at the Krasnogorsk Mechanical Plant. Cinematographic cameras for 2 × 8C (2 × 8 Super) film format. Loading with 2 × 8C film on standard reels of 7.5 meters.
"Quartz-2x8C-3" (1971-1983) - modification of the "Quartz-4" ("Quartz-5") camera for 2x8C film with an increased frame size and an increased perforation step. Lens "Meteor-8m" 2.4 / 9-38 with a variable focal length. The viewfinder is a non-parallax mirrored viewfinder with light selection from a beam-splitting prism. Semi-automatic aperture setting using a coupled selenium exposure meter. Shooting frequency: 12, 18, 24, 36 fps and single frame.
