an·cient adjective belonging to the very distant past and no longer in existence.

This is the real deal folks. All of our old growth logs fell hundreds and thousands of years ago. These aren't axe cut...they are ANCIENT. The grain is super tight. And it's dense too. Not to be confused with regular lowland cypress. This is Tidewater Red Cypress. The freshwater has given each log it's own special color. They have been air dried and kiln dried. Even more amazing up close.

Sinker cypress is by far MUCH harder to recover than anything on land. You can't pull up a truck or forklift and start loading it up. Our winch boat is the biggest around - specially designed for the big ones! It also helps us get the old ones too that are buried deep in the sediments...like digging back in time.

Our logs grew from an ancient time when forests were THICK and trees grew close together. That is why the grain is so tight.

Rustic, Vintage, Industrial...this Unique Piece makes a Statement Piece for any décor.

We have been responsibly recovering and milling logs for over 40 year from Lake Maurepas, Louisiana. The same lake made famous by Shelby Stanga of the History Channels Axe Men, first discovered in 1699 by Pierre Le Moyne d'Iberville.

The board  is approximately 78" LONG and 1" THICK. The WIDTH varies but is about 13"-18" WIDE at it WIDEST. Handmade here in the USA.

We can ship for free to the lower 48 only. Thank you for your understanding.
