This
is such a gorgeous brooch from the turn of the last century! I believe
it is cut crystal made to look like amethyst, though I am not an expert
(wish I was!). I have noticed that fruit was a popular theme in the Art
Nouveau era ~ so many beautiful orchards fed a population that
appreciated handmade decor and idyllic scenes of nature! Please expect some wear, and see
photos for condition. The stone has some surface wear and a scratch on it. Color
of piece may be faintly darker in
real life than in the photos, because item is photographed in bright
light. It has some discoloration on the grape leaves and the backside,
which has an uneven texture, also. Measuring stick shown. Shipping includes insurance. I am selling SO MANY brooches separately in my store, as well as many beautiful other vintage clothing and accessories!
My house burned down in a California wildfire with no insurance.
