A super little item, being a late Victorian or Edwardian two draw pocket telescope with a worn painted finish to the outer barrel.

The instrument provides a reasonable degree of magnification, and was probably carried in the pocket to be handy for a closer look at anything from a ship at anchor to a distant piece of architecture!

The tubes are made from brass and the draw very smoothly.

There is no makers mark. This pocket telescope is in working order with the lenses in good condition. The original  painted finish to the outer barrel has some wear. The telescope operates very smoothly.

The telescope measures about 2.9 inches (7.3 cm) long closed and about 5.9 inches (14,9 cm) fully open.

A fantastic little piece to add to a collection, or indeed for use and looks great displayed. Also great as part of a steampunk kit or display.

**** Please take a look in my E-Bay shop as I currently have a range of other telescopes and optical items listed **

Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.

 SALES INFORMATION

We often photograph our items in an appropriate setting to give more of an idea of how they might look when displayed. The actual item for sale will be the main item in the photograph and, unless otherwise stated, the sale is for the item described only (i.e. not inclusive of any other items used in the pictures).

PAYMENT: Paypal for overseas bidders please. UK bidders also may use a cheque drawn on a UK bank or send a postal order. Please send payment within seven days of auction or listing end, or if you are likely to be away etc. please contact me to let me know. PLEASE NOTE: Due to an increase in unpaid items, an E-Bay unpaid item case will be opened if payment is not received, or contact made, within a maximum of two weeks from date of purchase.

POSTAGE: Our postage charges are estimated to the best of our ability before the item is packed for shipping, based on actual Royal Mail price charts. Therefore, if the actual shipping charge should prove to be significantly less, we will refund the difference in postage back to you via Paypal. We always use Signed For or Insured services (unless you choose otherwise on smaller value items). Although these do cost a little more, they offer better service and protection for items, so are worth the extra cost in case of any problems.

I will combine postage for multiple items, provided they can be safely packed together.

The Worldwide postage quoted applies to most destinations, however, European countries are often cheaper, so please ask for the postage cost to your European destination if you want further clarification.

NON UK BIDDERS: In theory we are happy to ship most items overseas, but those which are large and/or heavy can be very expensive via UK shipping channels. If you wish to bid from overseas and do not see a postage price for your destination in the listing, please contact us and we will send a shipping estimate. Items are priced for postage by Volumetric Weight: height x width x length.

Please also note that your local customs office may levy an import duty, which you will need to pay to receive your item.

CONDITION: We try to describe any specific flaws accurately, but as all the items we sell are antique or vintage, they will show some signs of wear and tear.

DESCRIPTION: We try to describe all items accurately and measurements as closely as possible. If you do need more information then please contact us via the E-Bay “Contact Seller” page and we will reply as quickly as possible.

RETURNS: If you have any problems or concerns once you have received your item, please also contact us and, again, we will respond as quickly as we can.

We want all bidders to be happy with their items and comply with the distance selling regulations. Equally, if the item is not as described, or arrives damaged, please contact us.

In the (fortunately) rare event that an item arrives damaged: With claims for damaged items, the carrier will want to see evidence of damage, so please keep all packaging and the item itself. Please take photographs of these if at all possible, as these will aid a claim.

However, we are a small business and returns do cost us money. If you request to return an item for other than the reasons above, we may ask you to pay the return postage charges.

We try to use recycled but quality packaging wherever possible, in order to help reduce waste and to keep costs to you down.

Thank you for your interest in our items!
