VINTAGE 6CW5/EL86 TUBE - NOS - MINIWATT - AUSTRALIA.

On offer is one only, vintage 6CW5/EL86 valve/tube made in Australia by Miniwatt - printing is mostly intact, while it is a nos valve I still ran it through the test procedure and it tested negative for shorts, gas and heater cathode leakage on my AVO MKII tube tester - and a final test on my RAT tube tester where it was bang on for a new valve - see photo. The EL86 is sometimes put forward as a replacement for the EL84 as it shares the same pin outs - while it has and can be used for audio it has different characteristics and is not a direct replacement.
