Rare Shape - Antique ca. Early 1900s

Gothic/Arched Pine Window Frame

(No Glass)

Great Foundation for a Standing or Wall-Mounted

Easter/Autumn/Christmas or Wedding Decoration

This antique pine window sash frame is of a very unusual shape -- a cross between Gothic and arched.  I have been working with stained glass, using many antique window frames for my pieces, for over 20 years, and I have never come across one like this!

It is lightweight (pine, not oak), so it is not too heavy to use as the foundation for a wall-hung country-style or Christmas decoration.  It weighs just over 4 lbs.

The dimensions are 31" wide x 29¼" tall.

[   CONDITION...   ]

- Lovely, well-preserved antique condition, from a non-smoking environment.

- NO GLASS

- The back of the frame is in its original condition -- very rough with age and some weathering, and with chippy paint ... which is quite likely lead-based, by the way, considering its age!

- The front (nicer) surface of the frame was painted by someone in a maroon color.  The paint surface is in fairly good shape, though it has some scuffs, as pictured.

- ALSO, someone drilled 3 small holes near the bottom of the frame, as shown.

This is a rare frame and it presents beautifully for decoration!

The above is my good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues. Keep in mind that vintage/antique items always show their age. (Don't we all!?)  It would be impossible to mention every tiny detail, so please expect that there will be something about this item (or lot) that's not perfect and may need touch-up.

PLEASE SUPERSIZE ALL PHOTOS, AND ASK ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING/BUYING.  I'LL BE GLAD TO ANSWER.
