"I have always loved crepe myrtles having been born and raised in Louisiana. The trunks of the trees are so gorgeous, leading up to an amazing burst of colors in white, purples and pinks with touches of yellow. My style in this painting is impressionism and the brush strokes show a movement that makes the painting come alive with vibrating color. I ordinarily paint in the expressionist style and many of my paintings are listed for sale here on eBay. I am a nationally published, award-winning artist and my paintings range in price from $1000.00 to $5,000.00. This painting is not in my usual style so it is selling for less. This impressionist painting is filled with the energy that brings me back to the spring and fall in Louisiana. The sky there can be ominously beautiful with hurricanes threatening the state almost every year from July to late September."
