This 2-disc DVD course narrated by Dr. Giancarlo Barolat devotes over 2 1/2 hours to explain the fundamental concepts of neurostimulation for pain.

Dr. Barolat has been involved with neuromodulation for over 30 years. He participated in his first spinal cord stimulation procedure in 1976, while still a resident at the University of Torino in Italy. His move to the U.S. was largely motivated by his desire to further develop this emerging therapy for a variety of conditions, including pain. Since then, Dr. Barolat has implanted more than 5,000 neuromodulation devices, including intracranial stimulators, spinal cord stimulators, peripheral nerve stimulators, and intrathecal drug delivery pumps.

This course, narrated by Dr. Barolat, devotes over 2 1/2 hours to concepts that make up the Foundation of Neurostimulation and also covers how to develop and sustain a successful neurostimulation practice. For implanting physicians, this course provides knowledge needed to gain a more commanding grasp of neurostimulation. For other professionals in the neurostimulation field, it provides an in-depth understanding of the principles behind the use of neurostimulation devices to manage chronic pain.
