A large gilt Nepalese bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni in 17th century style,
his face shown with closed eyes and long pendulous earlobes,
the hair arranged in spiral curls,
the torso powerfully modeled, clad in a robe with scrolling designs,
elegantly draped across the left shoulder,
his right hand bent over the right knee in bhumisparsa mudra
while holding the left hand in dhyana,
seated in dhyanasana on a lotus base.
