This exceptionally nice and early 1872 ELGIN 18 size Keywind and Keyset pocket watch is in a double hinged Silveroid case. The watch was made for Keyes and Stratton in Keene, New Hampshire – no doubt a jeweler or general retailer. The enamel dial with elegant numerals has a couple micro flea bites at the edge by 10:00 – I debated whether to mention these, it is so very irrelevant – the dial is glossy and has no real issues, nice slender spade hands and good lettering. The gilt 15 jewel movement is serial number 200255 – Grade 58 Model 1 Class 3 – signed Elgin, Keyes & Stratton and Keene, NH. This 150 year old Elgin has not been serviced and has been in estate storage BUT with the attacked key it winds, sets and runs without fail keeping quite accurate time, The double hinged Silveroid case is very fine with dust cover and no dings, dents or initials on the back. As pictured, the weight is 170 grams   -  out of a Pennsylvania estate, buyer pays 7.95 safe bubble shipping and tracking in USA
