Ford BA/BF XR Boot and Fuel Flap Switch Kit including Bezel

One of the best interior upgrades to your XR Ford is converting the old switches to blue led illuminated ones. This applies to your electric window switches, fog light/traction control switches and dash clock. However the boot and fuel flap switches were never able to be done. Well, now they can be!!!

This kit replaces the standard boot and fuel flap switches (which were never illuminated) with Blue Led illuminated switches. The kit fits all BA/BF sedan models not just XR's.

The kit makes the fitting of blue led illuminated switches a straight forward job. The main task is to increase the size of the existing switch opening in the dash panel to accommodate the new switches and bezel. This can be done with files, a dremel, an air grinder or any other suitable tool.

The kit consists of:

Blue Led illuminated Boot and Petrol Flap release switches and Bezel. The switches have been tested and work perfectly.
Modified switch plugs/sockets that enable a straight plug in connection to the vehicle's existing boot and fuel flap plugs.
Wiring loom to connect the switch illumination lines to the power pick up point behind the tissue box holder.
Cable ties

Also included is a step by step installation guide and pictures (sent to your email address).

Please note the switch orientation is swapped around to the normal setup. So the fuel flap switch now sits above the boot switch.

No soldering, wire cutting/stripping - all the hard work has been done for you. Installation takes about 2.5 hours. Tools needed are a Philips head screwdriver, small flat blade plastic pry tool and the appropriate filing/cutting tools.

Before you purchase the kit take 10 minutes to view this video and remove the parts indicated to access the cig lighter wiring loom with attached illumination line (see ad pic).

Make sure this illumination line is active when parkers/headlights are turned on by plugging a T5 globe into the socket or probing with a multi-meter. If you have power present you're good to go!!!
