The New Yorker February 1944 WWII Pony Overseas Edition Armed Forces GI Owned

This is a vintage "The New Yorker" (February 1944) that is a special "pony" size (8 1/2" x 6"). It is not the regular size and this item was made for soldiers during WWII. The front is marked, "Overseas Edition for Armed Forces Distributed by Special Services Division A.S.F, U.S Army". The cover features a humorous color cartoon of higher ranking GI's playing cards on a ping pong table black while helmeted GI's watch in silence. This issue came to me in estate of former Navy Signalman that served in Pacific and Atlantic theaters during this time. He returned safely and became a newspaper reporter. This item is in good order with no missing or torn pages.
