For sale is a beautiful, one of a kind (the only one in existence as far as I know), skateboard with an 1980's-style shape and 1960's theme. It features the image of Warhol Superstar, actress, model and 60's style icon, Edie Sedgwick, printed into the grip tape.

The underside of the board features a shadow image of the classic Beatles Abbey Road album cover in which the fab four are crossing a zebra crossing (crosswalk) outside Abbey Road Studios. There is also a G&S (Gordon & Smith) decal on the tail (whether this means the board was made my G & S, I can't be sure).

The image of Edie is one of the most classic of the many, many photos taken of her in her short lifetime. It's the one that was featured on the movie poster for her film Ciao Manhattan (and on the accompanying soundtrack album). It's also featured on the cover of the rock band The Cult's 7" single of 'Edie (Ciao Baby).'

It is a complete skateboard, ready to ride (thought the wheel bearings could use replacing). The wheels themselves are in excellent condition. They are 66mm, 84A Sims Snake wheels. The trucks are made by Independent, though I can't say what particular model they are.

There's normal (but quite minimal) wear on the the tail and nose and the keen observer may notice some small visibly 'dirty' areas in clear parts of the grip tape (particularly on the left side of the neck area and the forehead which are common foot placement areas). It's very minimal but I'm sure there's a way to get it out (though I don't know how). See photos

It measures approximately 30" inches long and 10" wide (at the widest point).

It's a great skateboard for traditional use but is also a work of art fit for display.

A very unique item!!
