Swatch Originals Standard Gent 'Scottish Tartan' Watch - GM181 on Pink Strap.

This pre-owned Swatch has been extremely difficult to identify, with no photographs of it online, which makes me believe that it is a rare item. Unfortunately, it is no longer on its pink and grey tartan plastic strap, but is fitted on an alternative pink plastic strap from another pre-owned Swatch watch.

Plastic straps of this kind can become brittle with age and although it is flexible at the moment, I cannot guarantee how it long it will last when worn.

The watch has been stored with care in excess of eight years, but, it has not been tested to see how it withstands immersion in water and therefore, it should only be considered as 'splash proof'.

A new battery has just been fitted and it is working well.

A  mid grey round  34mm case frames a face of the same shade with bright pink Arabic numerals at all hour points. Around the circumference of the dial are bright pink  markers to denote every minute position and additional circular indices indicate the hours.

Black minute/hour hands with luminous inlays and a fine black second hand show the time. The watch was designed by Rossana Boffi.

The bright pink plastic strap has a buckle fastening. I do not know the model of the watch that it belonged to.

The strap has some signs of wear and the crystal has a number of marks upon its surface.

New replacement batteries are available free of charge under Swatch's 'Energy for Life' campaign, from any Swatch shop or from their Customer Service team.
