Recently we were fortunate enough to purchase a collection ofapproximately 65 golf flags from the family of a former professional golfer andteaching pro who grew up in Denver, Colorado. He started to play at the age of 9 at the celebrated Cherry Hills Country Club under the instruction of Bill Majors. In his early twenties he took lessons from Brian Smith, aprofessional golfer and instructor. After two years with Brian, the former ownerand collector of the flags attended the PGA Tour Golf Academy for two yearswhere he graduated and obtained his Professional Golfer’s Diploma. He also becamea Class A Golf professional in 1996. During his lifetime he worked as an instructor at CherryHills, NIKE and other companies before retiring to Pinehurst, NC. Sadly, he died unexpectedly at the age of 61 in 2021. His love of golf allowed him to play, instruct, travel andcollect throughout the US and worldwide for many years. The former owner, alsocollected ball marker/poker chips, clubs, balls and an array of other golf collectiblesfrom his travels. During his lifetime he became a member of the USGA, PGA,Pinehurst Country Club, etc. He also made many friends during his travels. Please check back for other items offered from this collection.
