The Malvinas War or South Atlantic Conflict was a war conflict with considerable inequality of forces, developed in 1982 between Argentina and the United Kingdom due to the dispute over the Islas Malvinas (Falkland Islands).
In April 1982 Argentina took the Islands that belong to it in its own right and, to prevent this, the government of Margaret Thatcher mobilized the largest military expedition since World War II. The conflagration also led to the first naval warfare since the Pacific War. The British army defeated the Argentine in a series of battles and combats, with losses for both parties (it is calculated that 649 Argentines, 255 British and three islanders died), but with a great British superiority supported by all the power of NATO and, regionally, by the neighboring country of Chile.
The British victory precipitated the fall of the Argentine dictatorship and the beginning of the recovery of the rule of law in Argentina, while contributing to the reelection of the conservative government of Margaret Thatcher in 1983. Both countries cut diplomatic relations until 1990. It was never a formally declared war.
We show here an exceptional and little-seen Trench Art, one of the few made in connection with the warfare of the South Atlantic, where a jet is shown in a fast-rising attitude, a clock (that does not work) and some pieces of gears probably coming from an anti-aircraft tank or weapon, dropped in combat.
We know nothing about the artist who made this magnificent piece, surely one of the many soldiers who suffered the war in their own flesh. Here we pay a warm tribute to all the fallen, regardless of the side to which they belonged.
The piece measures 18 x 16 x 8 cm and is ideal for a desk, showcase or shelf. It is made of solid steel and strongly welded. It has a magnificent overall balance between the different pieces that make up this warlike work of art.

La Guerra de las Malvinas o Conflicto del Atlántico Sur fue un conflicto bélico con considerable desigualdad de fuerzas, desarrollado en 1982 entre Argentina y Reino Unido por la disputa de las islas Malvinas.
En abril de 1982 Argentina tomó las Islas que le pertenecen por derecho propio y, para impedirlo, el gobierno de Margaret Thatcher movilizó la expedición militar más grande desde la Segunda Guerra Mundial. La conflagración también dio a lugar a la primera guerra aeronaval desde la guerra del Pacífico. El ejército británico derrotó al argentino en una serie de batallas y combates, con pérdidas para ambas partes (se calcula que murieron 649 argentinos, 255 británicos y tres isleños), pero con una gran superioridad británica apoyada por todo el poderío de la OTAN y, regionalmente, por el vecino país de Chile.

Mostramos aquí una excepcional y poco visto Arte de Trinchera, una de los pocos realizado en vinculación al conflicto bélico del Atlantico Sur, donde se muestra un Jet en actitud de rápido ascenso, un reloj (que no funciona) y algunas piezas de engranajes probablemente provenientes de un tanque o arma antiaérea, caído en combate. Nada sabemos sobre el artista que realizó esta magnifica pieza, seguramente uno de los tantos soldados que sufrieron la guerra en carne propia. Rendimos aquí un cálido homenaje a todos los caidos, sin importar el bando al que pertenecieran.
