Large size “Rooster” counterbalance windmill weight called the “Woodmanse” Rooster; attributed to the Elgin Wind, Power and Pump Co. of Elgin, IL, c. 1900-1910. The integral base has a unique “C” or “U” shaped slot, as well as the elongated slot in the tail.
To give you an exact understanding of its large size: Base to Crown 21″ diagonal Length, 19″ diagonal width, 3″ body depth. Weighing about 53 lbs. This example has an outstanding surface with old worn paint. Vertical Height is just under 19"
