*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~

This wonderful, large textile is an 18th / 19th century French, Aubusson tapestry . I wish there were more than 10 photographs allowed! It's damaged, but still amazingly beautiful in that timeworn way! ~*~ If you require more photographs, please contact me! ~*~ It is so enormous it was so difficult to display!! ~ This dates from the late 1700's or early 1800's. This tapestry was used as a rug, and there are many later alterations. It's backed in a natural cotton and someone in the 20th century added the carpet underlay to the mix! This textile is ideal for restoration or lovely too for an interior of period antiques. This would most certainly add to the charms , another layer of antique! This tapestry is hand loomed. I believe it was much larger and has been cut to a smaller size ~ It has wonderful decorative borders ~ I've turned the last couple of photographs so you can see from another perspective ~ I believe it would have been aligned this way! This textile would add so much period charm to any interior. Ideal for restoration ( please see below) or use as is ~!

MEASUREMENTS : This textile measures approx. 133 inches by 103 inches

CONDITION : Please see above and photographs using the zoom feature to view condition closely . I'm selling this textile in the condition that is ideal for restoration. There are some holes, wear , splits , some staining . ETC ~! It's very very important that you use the zoom feature or request photographs be send directly so you can really zoom in. It has wear and for this reason it's amazingly beautifully , however the tradeoff on this carpet is that there is damage also! ~*~ Condition is commensurate with age and use ~ ALL CONDITOIN IS REFLECTED IN THE PRICE. A textile like this in pristine condition can run into the hundreds of thousands ~ it's gorgeous, and ideal for a timeworn interior ~
