Records indicate that this hummel was produced by a team of sculptors in 1938. The old names of this hummel are "The Duet", "Hansel and Gretel" and "What's Up" in older catalogs. There are many variations such as the suspender straps, shape of base and size of figurine. The hummel in this listing is taller, by an eighth of an inch, than the highest range listed in catalogs of 4"-4.25", standing at 4.375" high. • Has "🐝" Full Bee Marking (TMK-2) with "(R)" stamped in Blue on underside of base.

• Stamped "Germany" in black on underside of base.

• Standing at 4.375" high, it is taller than the highest range of height listed in the catalogs (4"-4.25") by an eighth of an inch.

• Factory Control Number is incised on underside of base, however it is difficult to distinguish the numbers. It is under the "(R)". Please refer to pictures.

• Hummel is in excellent condition for it's age! No chips! No touch ups! No Repairs! No Crazing! It may have some dust from sitting in the China Cabinet for several decades. I certainly did not want to damage it inadvertently by cleaning it.

My mother was the President of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Hummel Club during the 1980s and collected Hummel figurines for approximately 50 years.
