This bolt of beautiful homespun European linen dates from the mid to late 1800's. ~~ This wonderful fabric is a hand loomed, and is a lovely pale, mottled oatmeal, almost gray toned linen, that is slightly darker on one side. There are intermittent red and gray stripes (about every 40-47 inches) that run parallel to the length of this bolt which are the signature of the weaver who made this fabric! For every one quantity purchased of this fabric there will be at least one of these signature stripes included on the length, which is why I am selling this by the 46 inch length instead of by the one yard length. ~ This bolt has a lovely, heavy, floppy feel that is somewhat coarse. Gorgeous texture! This fabric is a heavy weight linen with a lovely plain weave. Originally this fabric would have been for household use for sheeting, or grain sacks. This bolt is ideal for window treatments, table runners, pillows, upholstery etc! Machine washable over and over and over, *~ ~ Wonderfully high quality. I love knowing these linens were grown without the use of pesticides, just lovely natural fabric. ~*~ *~ ( EL310 )

MEASUREMENTS : I am selling this beautiful fabric by the length, so each purchase is for a length that measures about 21 inches wide by 36 inches long ( per ONE YARD) ~ Should you wish to purchase a longer continuous length, simply increase the quantity button and you will receive your purchase as one uncut, continuous length of fabric. For example, if you increase the quantity to 2, you will receive one long length that measures about 21 inches wide by 72 inches long ( 2 yards )

CONDITION : This gorgeous textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition! This bolt is in fabulous condition ~ !! Just amazing ~ can be machine washed over and over and over again! ~
