Vintage Antique Primitive Wood Hand Carved Puzzle Box ~ Folk Art ~ Dated

This box is carved with decorations on the top and two sides. The top has a heart, flowers and a design, below this is the monogram or symbol IHS with a cross.

The right side has a decorative boarder and the monogram IHS again. The left side is signed and dated and reads T. Z. 1904 12, Decmro. Not too sure why December is spelled this way or I am not reading it correctly.

To open the box you need to push open the smaller lid that is below the main lid. Very neat box and one of a kind piece of folk art. 

Not sure what the box was intended to hold, could be a snuff box but its larger than most.

Measures: 8.5" long and 1.5" at the widest point.
