"Thor the Mighty and the Stone Men from Saturn!" – While vacationing in Norway, Dr. Don Blake is discovered spying on an invading force of Stone Men from Saturn. Blake manages to hide in a cave and, after entering a secret passage, finds a cane which, when tapped, turns him into Thor the Thunder God, and his cane into Mjolnir, Thor's hammer. He learns the uses of the hammer and finds that he now has super-strength and control over the weather. Meanwhile the Saturnians have been successful in warding off a NATO air force attack and are ready to begin conquering Earth. Thor attacks and counters their every move. Realizing they cannot beat Thor, they retreat and leave Earth. The military cannot find the one responsible for beating the aliens, only a crippled man, who certainly couldn't be the one.

"The Perfect Crime!" – Trying for some easy cash, Mike Morgan plans on killing an easy mark by tricking him into standing near a steep cliff.

"When the Jungle Sleeps" – His intelligence heightened by a nearby atomic test, a lion uses his enhanced brain waves to control all his fellow jungle creatures, urging them to a world-wide attack against humans.

NOTE: It appears that Donald Blake is Thor's true identity here, but it is later revealed that Odin had stripped Thor of his memory of his true identity. Odin had Thor surrender his hammer to him, and then sent him to Earth in the mortal guise of a crippled young medical student named Donald Blake. After Thor had spent ten years in the role of Blake, Odin planted within Blake's mind the suggestion to take a vacation in Norway, where as seen in this issue he came to the cavern where Odin had left Thor's hammer in the enchanted form of a wooden cane. At first Thor has no memory of his past life as an Asgardian god, although as the series continues, more of his memories return.
