Guerlain Baccarat Flacon
Bouchon Coeur Heart Empty Perfume Bottle & Box
For consideration is this
vintage circa 1947 “Flacon Bouchon Coeur” or heart shaped crystal glass bottle
made by Baccarat for Guerlain. This bottle measures 4¾ inches tall, 2¾ inches wide and 1 7/8 inches deep (I used the widest
top of the bottle for measuring). The empty bottle held 80ml or 2.5 ounces of
fragrance and it comes with the original box.
Guerlain is a French
perfume, cosmetics and skincare house, which is among the oldest in the world.
Many traditional Guerlain fragrances are characterized by a common olfactory
accord known as the "Guerlinade". The house was founded in Paris in
1828 by the perfumer Pierre-François Pascal Guerlain.
The base is etched and reads
“Guerlain Paris France” then bears the Baccarat logo which is a circle with a
wine glass, a carafe and a goblet and “Baccarat France” inside it and beneath
that it reads “Bottle Made In France”. This
Baccarat circle etched logo has been in use from 1920 to the present and usually
etched onto the base of the crystal.
The beautiful perfume
bottle is in excellent condition as is the stopper. There are no chips, cracks
or repairs although there are some nicks in the bottle mouth (see photos).
Although the box does show wear, the graphics and colors are vivid and the box hinge
is still functional but should be handled with care. Buyer will pay shipping on a 2 pound box. Thank you for looking!
