Tassel entitled Her Feathered Nest is a 1950 Japan porcelain birdie salt shaker hand crafted into a one of a kind treasure and nestled into her feathery skirt utilizing antique,vintage and new trims.( the photo that is cropped is so you can see the loop, shaker and skirt in the thumbnail photo). 

  Just beautiful and fetching in her adorable face in tones of sage greens, corals, and creams with tan feet.  Sweetly perched atop her “ nest” of a skirt with flouncy antique, new and vintage eyelash yarns in differing weights and shades, crocheted cotton laces, gold plated metal enamel leaf shaped links chain, 6 translucent strung glass bead loops in co-ordinating colors and tones,fancy sheer laces, cords, trims, velvet and satin ribbons, rick rack, Chinese silk fabric, salvage edge trim, and more. Matching loop hanger as usual but with the addition of more antique cotton crocheted lace accenting her feet and back and creating wings in the back with a matching bow accented with a tiny luminous pearl! 

  Excellent condition as with all my items.  Size is approximately 23” total length and I purposely leave the skirt long but you can trim to your liking. If you trim it save the bits to add to a bowl of potpourri, grass in a basket or in an envelope with a note. The bird is approx 4” tall. 

  I would hang this precious tassel anywhere; gift basket, Easter basket,door knob, cabinet knobs, lamps, decanters, in a bowl of potpourri, keys, trunks, drapery tie backs, shower curtains, floral arrangements and tablescapes, on a big pile of quilts or pashminas, canisters, on a coffee table book, I’m sure you can think of more.
