Instructions:

When using a rocking knife, firmly hold the handle of the knife, and then

align the teeth of the knife with the plate. The angle between the knife

and the plate should be about 80°. Forcefully shake the plate from left

to right and move it forward slowly. Fast (too fast, the spacing of each line

is too wide). Only in this way can we shake out regular pits on the layout.

Then shake it row by row, and then change the direction to continue.

Precautions:

The shaking process of Mezzotint is related to the quality of the

work. Because the characteristics of Mezzotint are reflected in

this link, we must take it seriously. For example, the unevenness

of the shaking, the middle tone and bright tone will appear rough

and rough. Impressive, if the shake is too shallow, it will affect

the number of prints.

Using rocker arm pole will save more effort, the lines and points

pressed will be more even, more in-depth,with better effect.
