Description: Etching. Single leaf, textured lightweight cream colored wove paper measuring 25.4 cm x 16.9 cm sheet size, 19 cm. x 14.4 cm. at the plate mark. Simple etching of young woman's portrait in black ink, wearing a scarf and staring directly at viewer. Difficult to find a work so rare and unusual for this particular artist, a painter who invariably works in oils painting landscapes. A lovely, simply executed, rendered with care etching in near fine condition. Perotti, Francesco (Italian, 1907-1955). Near Fine.
