grain of the burl wood as well as the character of the waterfowl sitting on top of it.

Larry's interest in woodcarving began in 1982. After being taught by world class carvers, and countless hours of trial and error, Larry has developed a style he likes to describe as "stylized realism." He enjoys carving a variety of wildlife. Of special interest, the drama and fierceness of raptors.  This is a rare Roberts image of a majestic and graceful bird.
