Since
1970, the Selga-402 portable transistor radio receiver has been
producing by the Popov Riga Radio Plant. Initially, it had the name
"Selga-2" and it was the first Soviet radio receiver in which silicon
transistors were used. The receiver is designed to receive radio
stations in the LW and MW bands. Reception is carried out on an internal
magnetic antenna, there are sockets for connecting an external antenna
and a miniature telephone. The receiver is housed in a leather case.
Schematic diagram and design, makes it possible to use integrated
circuits in the future. Receiver sensitivity 1.5 mV/m. Adjacent channel
selectivity 20 dB. Rated output power 100 mW, maximum 200 mW. Receiver
dimensions 170 x 100 x 47 mm. Its weight is 500 grams. The "Selga-402"
radio receiver is powered by a 6F22 battery. Since the autumn of 1970,
the serial name of the "Selga-2" radio receiver, where the number "2"
denoted the development number, changed to "Selga-402", where the number
"4" already denoted the class, and the number "2" after zero - the
serial number of the development .
