The most expensive bass model featured in Greco's 1975 catalog, the SB-850 was the Suzi Quatro model Thunderbird bass. Quatro was contacted by Greco during a Japanese tour in 1974 where they offered to build her a bass to her specs as a gift. After delivering her initial model, they took the same specs and put the SB-850 into a small run of production (making them a very rare model).
Mahogany body with a maple neck and a 20 fret bound rosewood fingerboard (34" scale length, 40mm nut width), it weighs 4.1kg's. Features custom inlays and a very fancy headstock shape, it's loaded with a Maxon mini humbucker in the bridge and a P single coil in the neck position controlled by a three-way selector and individual volume/tone controls. All original except for a brand new output jack.
Very good vintage condition as pictured with no breaks or repairs and only mild cosmetic wear. The neck is straight and the truss works as it should, the frets were polished and play smooth and the fretboard was oiled.
