A contemporary art, signed crucifixion sculpture featuring a barbed wire crown of thorns.

The subject represents the crucifixion, the characters are of a South American folk style, with Christ wearing a barbed wire crown of thorns.

The pressed and cut steel creation measures 65cm tall and 45cm wide with a 35cm base, the base has the impressed signature Julio Galan, which is deeply impressed and visible clearly also through to the base.

Judging by the naturally aged surface to the base, I would estimate circa 1990’s.
