Attention:
To Extended the life of your grill, make sure to clean your grates before each use;
Try to get as much liquid off as possible before placing the food on the grill and if using a BBQ sauce, wait until the last 5-10 minutes of grilling before applying it to your food;
Using excessive marinade and applying BBQ sauce too early in the grilling process can result in the sugar burning causing a dark color;
Leave a coating of cooking oil on the cast iron grill grate after each use. We recommend the use of saturated fats because they are more stable at room temperature and less susceptible to oxidation.
If you use the cast iron grill every day, it doesn't matter what kind of oil you use.
If not used for a long time, it should be treated with saturated fat oil such as coconut oil, lard or butter.
