Elodea Densa (Egeria Densa)
1 Bunch = 12 Strands (15-25cm) weighted, rootless.

Elodea Densa is great for beginners and less patient aquarists. The rate of growth depends mainly on the power of lighting and the availability of mineral compounds in the water. In the case of mineral deficiencies, the plant does not stop growing but turns light green/transparent and new stems grow thinner.  Its special properties help to clean water reservoirs and prevent the growth of bacteria. Negatively reacts only to very soft water. Elodea densa likes clean water. In too old water and with too poor lighting it stops growing, turns yellow and then dies. It prefers cooler water temperatures that's why it is good plant for ponds as well.

PLEASE NOTE:
If your aquarium houses Shrimp or Mollusc of any kind please be sure to thoroughly rinse the plants prior to planting.
We recommend to add one stem and observe shrimps. If they start to swim very quickly or behave strangely you need to take plants out and place them in separate  fresh water container for 48h. Next check again the same way after 48h. If they are ok then you can add more stems gradually again observing shrimps. Plants may require approximately 7 days soaking prior to adding to a shrimp/mollusc aquarium. Please, remember only in vitro plants are 100 % shrimp safe, which can be planted right away. Plants come from greenhouses and they use concentrated fertilizers for them to grow quicker. All plants must be rinsed properly before placing in the aquarium.

The picture is only illustrative, and the real plant may vary in colour and size, especially in the winter, because the plants grow more slowly, although we try to provide the largest sometimes it is independent of us. The colour depends on the fertilizers in which they are served. Plants will take their natural look in the aquarium. You will receive plants looking similar like on the photo (without pot, cup).

The size of the plant shows how big it can grow in the aquarium. That gives information to the buyers where to position plant in the aquarium. Plants which you will receives come from greenhouses or laboratory(in vitro) and some of them might be smaller or bigger than the final sizes shown on the listing. Don't be surprised that sometimes plants might not have roots or roots will be minimal.
