Tamiya's first shaft 4WD racing baby carriage was introduced in 1985.
Its high-performance performance with a full load of innovative mechanicals immediately captivated many fans.
The chassis is a three-part structure consisting of front and rear gearboxes and a center monocoque. High maintainability is an attractive feature. The suspension is double wishbone with stabilizers in both the front and rear.
The rear, in particular, is a progressive type with connecting plates and pushrods. In addition, the sealed front and rear gearboxes incorporated thrust ball bearings and differential gears.
The Hot Shot was an epoch-making machine that established the 4WD racing baby carriage genre.
Based on the design concept of not modifying the form and structure as much as possible, the Hot Shot (2007) is a reissued version with updated parts that do not fit the current situation or are difficult to assemble.
The main mechanical components, such as the shaft-driven 4WD and double wishbone front and rear suspension with adjustable monoshock dampers, have been retained, while the front and rear driveshafts and propeller shafts have been replaced with highly reliable dogbone types.

This product does not include the transmitter, transmitter batteries, RC mechanism (receiver, ESC, servos, etc.), running battery, battery charger, etc. Additional parts need to be purchased, assembled, and painted before driving.
