Written by Desmond Guinness, an Irish author on architecture and Georgian art, the son of Diana Mitford and the heir of Guinness, Bryan Guinness. And William Ryan, an Irish writer.

Complete in the original unclipped dust wrapper. 

Lavishly illustrated throughout in both colour and black and white.

A later edition, reprinted from the first edition of 1971.


CONDITION

In the publisher's original full cloth binding with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally generally smart, with just a little minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Dust wrapper is a little chipped to the head of the spine, with some wear to the extremities and a little discolouration. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
