A very scarce work, this was the only edition.

Originally printed in 'The Times' on the 15th and 16th September 1852.

A concise yet thorough memoir on the life and career of the Duke of Wellington, published just after his death. 

Wellington was known for his heroic career fighting during the Napoleonic Wars, and for serving twice as prime minister under both George IV and William IV.

CONDITION

In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, generally smart. Wraps are a little age-toned with some light spots. A little edge wear with some small chips, mostly to the front wrap. Backstrip is a little creased. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Prior owner's ink inscription to the title page.
