Vintage Pebbled Style Hammer Forged Small Butcher Knife with Carbon Steel Blade & Wood Handle Made by Robeson Cutlery Company

Robeson Cutlery Company, Inc. was founded by Millard F. Robeson in 1879 in Elmira, New York.  Millard Robeson started out by selling pocket cutlery.  From 1910's to 1930's, Robeson was considered one of the best manufacturers of pocket cutlery in America, and one of the best in the world.  In 1971, the Ontario Knife Co. bought Robeson and began making Robeson-brand pocketknives through their sister company, Queen Cutlery Co.  Robeson has many trade names including Robeson, Red Pig, Shuredge, Pocketeze, Mastercraft.

This knife has the blade hammer forged from the carbon steel designed to take a finer edge and hold it longer providing sharp cutting satisfaction.  The handle is triple riveted over the full tang to secure fitting to make it both easy and comfortable to use.
