In 2007, the USPS issued a Star Wars Commemorative Sheet on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the release of the first installment of the classic space saga.  The first movie has evolved into a series of films depicting the epic story of good versus evil against a backdrop of planets and stars, exotic and bizarre creatures, knights and foes, heroic acts and betrayals.

This stamp features Han Solo and his Wookie first mate Chewbacca.  Solo is initially an unsavory character - a pirate and smuggler.  When he and his ship the Millenium Falcon are hired to transport Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, he becomes involved in the rescue of Princess Leia.  Enamored with her beauty, charm, and wit, he becomes one of the Rebel Alliance's most courageous heroes.

It is framed in a 3 inch by 4 inch wood frame.  Please indicate what color frame you prefer - white, black, or walnut. If not specified, walnut will be sent.

This framed stamp is sent anywhere in the United States for free!

A bit more history: The United States Post Office issued its first stamp on July 1, 1847. Since that time, over 5000 stamps have been released. Each stamp is given its own identification number called a Scott Number. This stamp has been designated as Scott Number 4143L.
