case hardening powder

200g tub
GERMAN MADE

Fast reacting powder for hardening steel surfaces,
high penetration capacities

The workpiece should be heated to red heat and then sprinkled with hardening powder or rolled in it and brought to red heat again.
Then quench in water. If necessary, repeat the process.

Sprinkle hardening powder should not be used in electrically heated ovens with exposed heating elements, since salt splashes and fumes can destroy the heating elements.

Please be aware tubs are slightly larger than required for the given weight, volume dependent on settlement of the powder

DO NOT contact stating you have not received 200g as tin is not full to brim, we know it is not as reason stated above

Only ferrous metals can be case hardened, or surface hardened. The steels best suited for case hardening are the low-carbon and low-alloy steels. When high-carbon steels are case-hardened, the hardness penetrates the core and causes the metal to become brittle.

PLEASE NOTE

DURING HARDENING CAUSES FUMES AND POSSIBLE DUST THAT IS HARMFUL.
THE SAME IS FOR ALL MAKES OF HARDENING POWDER. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE  USER TO ENSURE THEY TAKE PROPER AND APPROPRIATE PRECAUTIONS DURING USE.
