This is a 3mm thick 300 mm  wide laser cut vw logos 

3 mm thick is easer to stretch the carpet over and if you are sticking it to quarter panels and roof panels it will bow with the panel

you can carpet the panel first then screw it to an existing panel. pic 2 ( nice in contrasting colours )

or stick it to a wooden panel first then carpet over the top, pic 3,

or you could paint it same colour as your van or same colour as your camper van units, recommend 2 coats of aerosol primer first to stop the paint soaking in
