This 8c stamp was first released in Cincinnati, Ohio, on November 10, 1972, in conjunction with the 120th anniversary of the American Pharmaceutical Association.  The stamp features pharmaceutical symbols such as bowl of hygeia, a mortar and pestle, and nineteenth century medicine bottles.

It is handsomely displayed in a 3.75 by 4.75 inch wood frame. Please indicate what color frame you prefer:  walnut, white, or black. If no color is selected, white will be sent.

A  bit more history: The United States Post Office issued its first stamp on July 1, 1847.  Since that time, over 5000 stamps have been released. Each stamp is given its own identification number called a Scott Number. This stamp has been designated as Scott Number 1473.
